Hi all!
I was bothered by this messages in logs:

Jan 17 16:28:58 xearo7 su[30273]: PAM pam_putenv: delete non-existent entry; REMOTEHOST
Jan 17 16:28:58 xearo7 PAM-env[30273]: Unknown PAM_ITEM: <XAUTHORITY>
Jan 17 16:28:58 xearo7 su[30273]: PAM pam_putenv: delete non-existent entry; XAUTHORITY

I commented out those variables in /etc/security/pam_env.conf and I am not finding any problem, but I do not know why they were set up at first.
I'd like to know what problem could I run into without those variables set up, and if there is a more elegant way to get rid of those messages in logs.

You could always get rid of pam :)
