Well I'm using it and nothing bad has happened, nothing good or different
has happened either. The only section I changed was:

# HorizSync 30-121
# VertRefresh 50-185

Identifier "Monitor0"
HorizSync 31.5 - 60.0
VertRefresh 60 - 75
Option "DPMS"
As you can see my monitor rates are vastly different to yours but that's
the only change I made.
I still can't run xawtv and tvtime just flashes on screen for a split
second and then disappears. KDETV is still jittery even though I have a
superfast graphic card in a 2.4Ghz P4.
I can't help thinking I need to enable something, add something or there is
a setting I missed somewhere.
