That much may be true, but the messages normally posted to the list show a 
level of literacy that dwarfs the OP's message.  I'm not a grammar or 
spelling pendant.  In fact, I will ignore punctuation rules on purpose 
because I (and maybe no one else) consider them wrong.  Also, I probably 
make more spelling and grammar mistakes than the average internet user, 
because I'm just bad at them.

What I find important is how easy the message is to read.  The OP's message 
was difficult because of the number of "txt msg"-like abbreviations used.  
I would suggest the OP limit messages with such a density of abbreviations 
to mediums that require it; users of other media will find such a message 
hard to read and, because of that, will be more likely to ignore your 
message entirely.
