HI! I'm just compiled kernel-2.6.10-gentoo-r6 and xorg 6.8.0-r4, when tryin to build fglrx module manually...
gentuxp4 build_mod # sh make.sh make.sh: line 52: [: 3: unary operator expected ATI module generator V 2.0 ========================== initializing... cleaning... patching 'highmem.h'... assuming new VMA API since we do have kernel 2.6.x... doing Makefile based build for kernel 2.6.x and higher make -C /lib/modules/2.6.10-gentoo-r6/build SUBDIRS=/root/fglrx/lib/modules/fglr x/build_mod/2.6.x modules make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.10-gentoo-r6' Building modules, stage 2. MODPOST *** Warning: "pci_find_class"
This is a bug with the drivers and kernel 2.6.10 (pci_find_class is supposed to be pci_get_class, or vice-versa).
Anyway, there is a patch available on the rage3D forums ( http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33798874 ), posted by the Linux project manager of ATI (mtippett), or just emerge the ati-drivers package, which I believe includes this patch.
