Were you ever able to figure this out? I don't want to update from 2.64 to 3 until I know of a fix that will work. Thanks in advance :)
I am not sure if I fixed it or not, to be honest. I no longer receive the error message, but I do not recall doing anything between the last error e-mail I got (from cron) and when I noticed I was no longer getting that mail.
One thing I did that may have had an effect was that I simply deleted my .spamassassin directory and started over. My server was a more recent install and I actually still had all my spam in the "uncaught" directory, so I could pick up right where I left off.
The first time I ran 'sa-learn' after deleting the directory, everything was find. I got the message again the next night though. But, through some weird twist of fate, the message is no longer appearing and a lot of spam I had been seeing is now being captured again.
*shrug* :)
