btaudio hasn't changed it's name (as far as i read in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/sound/oss/btaudio) It is part of the OSS sound system, witch isn't set on my system. I only use OSS emulation from alsa. snd-bt87x is the "Device Drivers -> Sound -> ALSA -> PCI dev. -> Bt87x audio capture" module from kernel. If i deactivate the snd-bt87x alsa support, i cannot acces to the audio mixer (alsamixer -c 1(capture, capture boost etc). I tried to do that, but i couldn't hear a sound. So i thought maybe that was just my bt878 OSS emu that shouldn't be loaded. all silent... i'm gonne breathe some fresh air tomorrow and see that after a couple of days. -- [email protected] mailing list
