You can also get it from /var/db/pkg/cat-egory/package/. Copy it to your portage overlay, you may need to enable this in make.conf, and portage should be happy to stay with it. However, you should first find out why this ebuild was removed for portage. It may not simply be because of its age, there are older versions still there. From the changelog, it appears that all updates since the version you have are for security bugs. If your version has been removed because it is insecure, maybe you should consider changing.
