Of course you're right.  
I somehow got confused, because, before that, I tried to install the
Enlightenment WM, which is actually there on the package CD.  As well as
its dependencies.  So
  # emerge -k enlightenment
did install enlightenment, but none of the dependencies (fnlib,
freetype, libghttp), which are there on the CD.  Do I need an additional
switch/flag for that?
