I've done stage 2 w/o a network a couple of times already. All I do is
Rsync the new install with the distfiles on my main gentoo laptop(box)
and then also sync the portage tree and I'm all set.

Not having I-net and still wanting to do stage 2 would be possible in
the above scenerio, but take away stage 2 from the CD and I'm stucked
with staage 3
