I downloaded and burned the 2004.3 x86 Universal LiveCD, but when I put it in and reboot, I get an error about a null pointer at virtual address 00000000, and then it finally stops at a kernel panic along the lines of "<0> Kernel panic - not syncing - Attempted to kill init!" (I think; the text scrolls by pretty fast.)

The MD5 sum checks, and I verified the CD after burning it with Nero. I've tested the LiveCD in another computer and it works perfectly, so it's got to be my hardware. Memtest86 finds no problems with my RAM, and my hardware was not overclocked or overvoltaged at the time. (Hardware specs available on request.)

Any idea what's up? Or should I just wait for 2005.0?
