The flash plugin tries to access the hardware oss device (/dev/pcm) directly. It does not support any sound daemons. Thus, if a sound daemon is already using the device, and you have a cheap soundcard, flash won't play sound. The way to fix this appears to be running firefox with a wrapper program that redirects oss to the sound daemon you prefer, like esddsp firefox -- Calvin Walton -- [email protected] mailing list
