Yeah, I'm old school as well. Aspell uses curses and wants to suggest corrections. I just want to be told what's wrong, then I can figure out the correction.
Plus the curses gets in the way when I'm on a tiny PDA or cellphone. The old spell worked in all these cases.
All these newfangled ways of using computers. In my days, they were hand crank start and wood burning.
