My background is with slack80. Gentoo is way
different!
A few questions:
How does chown work? #chown <username>:users doesn't
work.
I added <username> to wheel group, but when I su I
get: name expired(something like that).
Gentoo seems to assume I have broadband but I live at
the end of an eight-mile phone line. When I try emerge
x-org it craps out at ttmfk* I'll have to download the
file seperately. Is that gonna be the only one?
I copied DIR_COLORS to $HOME/.dir_colors but ls still
outputs in monochrome.
Why can't I many tools(cp, mv for starters) in
/home/<user> as user? Must be root!
