[starbaby: ~]$ time emerge --searchdesc analyzer

blah, blah

real    0m38.455s
user    0m27.550s
sys     0m7.063s

Using esearch (emerge gentoolkit):

[starbaby: ~]$ time esearch --searchdesc analyzer

real    0m0.182s
user    0m0.155s
sys     0m0.016s
