Hello all,

I'm looking for a drawing program, that has lots of symbols
such as networking and electrical symbols, build in.
Something like RFflow (http://www.rff.com/) for the pc. I'd be
nice if the output files could be loaded directly into OpenOffice.

Any suggestions?

Dia maybe?

# emerge app-office/dia

It's part of the GNOME Office project (along with AbiWord and Gnumeric):
http://www.gnome.org/projects/dia/

It can also export the created diagrams to SVG, PNG and Encapsulated
PostScript format (EPS). You could then include something in one of
these formats into an OpenOffice.org document.

For a Qt/KDE solution you way want to try Kivio (app-office/kivio in
Portage). It's part of the KOffice project along with KWord, KPresent,
and the like. I've no experience with it however.

Hope that helps!
