This thread has has led me to wonder about drivers. I have never installed a "source" distro, complied a kernel or installed a driver for my video card.
I assumed SuSe, Mandrake, et.al. had them built in. Am I going to need to download a driver from NVidia (I decided on one of their cards) and compile it in? Is it a module or what?
