FYIO: Recently I installed Asterisk-1.0.7 on a Slackare-10.0 machine (from
source / CVS), and it's running fine since the first setup, w/o any
problems.
It ran ok "out of the box", so think the ebuild or Gentoo setup method
could be the problem...
