In this moment there is a bug report opens about it, but the arch is amd64. The first thing to see are the permission of the device with ls -l /dev/hd* The second is to look if your user is in group of the device with the command id The third is try to run mplayer or kaffeine as root from console with mplayer dvd://1 kaffeine (and select open DVD) In this moment is that I made and in that conditions mplayer works as user too, and kaffeine and xine only as root. -- Public key GPG(0x073A0960) on http://keyserver.linux.it/
