Is something wrong with that? I thought ro for readonly and rw for read+write. My cd-rom device is a cd-writer.
You can't mount a CDRW-drive for writing. That would need a DVD-RAM drive. For normal CD-writers you need special software for writing iso9660 images to the disc (e.g. cdrecord)
