Yes, that message means that the tar program it runs doesn't support the
-j option.  I quit suggesting that Toms Root and Boot was usable as he
hasn't changed it in the 6 years that I have been using Linux.

Check out a currently supported floppy distro and you could get off and
running, I betcha.
