Have you loaded the ehci-hcd driver for USB 2.0 or only
one of  uhci.o  usb-ohci.o  usb-uhci.o for USB 1.x ?

to gain full benefits of USB 2.0 you have to load the ehci-hcd AND one
USB1.x driver

BUT you may have Trouble with some external Disk-enclosures with linux
and USB2.0-Speed
