message(white text,black bg). To get back to
Macroshaft I boot into a Win98 CD and run fdisk /mbr
I had a grub problem with the same symptoms and solved it
by moving all the grub stuff from /boot/grub to
/boot/boot/grub. This is described in the grub faq (Item 11)
