On a new install on an athlon 1.2gig machine using 2005.0 minimal cd. The latest x86 snapshot 920050603, it keeps crapping out with "need perl 5" In trying to emerge perl it list pages of packages that it will install before perl and of course packages it tries to emerge need perl. How do I get around this and get perl installed so that the rest of the "emerge -v -e system" will complete?
