Hi, I want to set up my computer so that it would do automatically "shutdown -h" after short pressing of "power" button.
Is the only solution to emerge acpid (found on gentoo-forum)? Would not it be easier with apm? Because I remember once in the past having a comp with some other linux-distro, where I think I did not install acpid, only edited some file in /etc, and yet after pressing the "power" button it correctly shutdowned my computer. I just want to keep number of running daemons low. It is not a notebook, so I think it is not worth to have one more daemon running all the time just because of one possible event-trigger...
