Try with this simplified xorg.conf:

Section "Device"
       Identifier  "aticonfig-Device[0]-0"
       Driver      "fglrx"
       #Driver      "radeon"
EndSection


You can toggle video drivers also and tell what happened. By the way, you
realise you also need to setup correct kernel modules and disable
conflicting ones when changing from fglrx to radeon, right?
