I have RMA'd many drives upon seeing errors like this. I eventually
tracked it down to a faulty SATA cable. :-/



Well, this one does it with two different cables and it is IDE. I have to admit tho, I was hoping it would work fine after I brought it down here and put it in my rig where it used to be. I even checked the jumper to make sure it was set right.

I love grasping at straws tho.
