I'm emerged it, and added it to FEATURES.
emerge --info | grep FEATURES
FEATURES="autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict"
Also added the 2G cache size.
but no matter how many things I emerge,
ccache -s
cache hit 0
cache miss 0
files in cache 0
cache size 0 Kbytes
max cache size 2.0 Gbytes
as root or user (user has smaller max cache size, but 0's all around).
/var/tmp
drwxrwsr-x 18 root portage 2528 Aug 21 08:46 ccache
I saw a web page that said change owner to portage:portage but on emerge
as root,
* Adjusting permissions on ccache in /var/tmp/ccache
which puts it back to above.
also, root is not part or portage group, should it be?
