Apparently there were some changes in eix in the permissions area that caused problems with (I guess) the generation of this file. The maintainer tells me the eix problems are fixed. I haven't seen a change in the file size yet and so far eix-remote continues to fetch a file with nothing in it. I suspect it will likely start working later today. Cheers, Mark
