Mine looks like this:

$ ls -l /dev/ttyS0
crw-rw---- 1 root uucp 4, 64 Sep 21 06:16 /dev/ttyS0

and the user (me) is a member of the uucp group.  Not sure if this is a more 
correct way to configure it ...
