Even shows up as /dev/sdb. If calibre isn't running and you plug the Kindle in, does the desktop recognize the device and mount it and do all that routine stuff properly? If yes, what is the nature of the problem per error output and logs etc? Is calibre configured to use the proper device type for that Kindle? -- Alan McKinnon [email protected]
