[gentoo-user] kmod <> module-init-tools + udev-171-r10

Hi all,

Just a question...
Can I replace module-init-tools with kmod and stay with udev-171-r10 for 
the time being?

Asked another way - is kmod fully supported by older releases of udev 
like 171-r10?
