But you've already given yourself the answer: if high performance is what you are aiming for it depends on your performance needs and probably ZFS on Linux is not got to meet those - yet. It is still evolving.

Of course benchmarks are static, real world usage is another cup of coffee.

Well it only comes as kernel module at the moment. Some people dislike that.
