Hi, I might be wrong but I can't remember this has happened earlier.
When emerging the new kde-base/kde-meta-4.11.2 (about 250 packages here) portage runs
update-mime-database /usr/share/mime many many times. Is this a new nuisance? Thanks for a comment, Helmut
