Because there is a difference in having a Konsole open as root and browsing the internet, editing images with GIMP, checking my emails, playing a card game and other things that don't require a root Konsole. I keep the Konsole open for those things that commonly need/require root privileges such as editing config files, running scripts in /root, backups and a few other things. Each has its use. I use each one for what I need to get things done. Dale :-) :-)
