Well put. With Ubuntu, it's trivial to install one of the 2 or 3
pre-set configurations and then do the set of N things that the Ubuntu
developers thought you would want to do. As soon as you stray from
that pre-cooked set of configurations and tasks, things quickly get a
_lot_ more difficult.
With Gentoo, it's a little more work, but you can do what _you_ want
to and and you don't have to stick to the configurations and tasks
that the developers have already thought of.
