Hi Joseph,I don't see any lower version of asterisk-11 in the tree, so if you don't have an overlay that specifically provides the version you are looking for, portage has no other choice than to select the masked one. And it infact DOES take your mask into account, note the "#" in the emerge output, it just can't figure out an alternative for you.
