Yes... although I may have rebooted before doing so.
Shouldn't matter...as long as you made the appropriate updates to the
configuration files, it should be ok.
You can also try setting udev_log="yes" in /etc/udev/udev.conf, to
have udev output sturff to /var/log/messages.
Will do. Is there a way to have that take effect without restarting?
It will take effect immediately, no reboot required.
