You don't need the source package for the kernel you're running, you've already compiled it, but there's another sets trick you can use to prevent depclean from removing kernel packages, put this in /etc/portage/sets.conf [kernels] class = portage.sets.dbapi.OwnerSet world-candidate = False files = /usr/src It stops depclean removing any package that has files in /usr/src. -- Neil Bothwick WinErr 009: Horrible bug encountered - God knows what has happened
