Hi Alexander, hi all!

thanks for your help! :)
The culprit was NOT missing guest additions....
it was the display settings inside XFCE4... 
After I had set this to high values...TADA!...
more resolution!

Sometimes problems are quit too simple to be solved
with the first attempt...sigh :)
