Hello,

Can you give us more details of what do you want to do, what do you
already do, etc.

Does /usr/bin/i686-pc-linux-gnu-pkg-config have the x (executable) permission ? 
(ls -l /usr/bin/i686-pc-linux-gnu-pkg-config)
