I have finally made my usb cdr to work, however I can't burn cds
This was what I made it to work:

Device Drivers ->
    SCSI device support ->
        [*] SCSI CDROM support
    USB support ->

        [*] USB Mass Storage support
            [*] Freecom USB/ATAPI Bridge support
            [*] ISD-200 USB/ATA Bridge support
