Hi, hmmmm....
I know there was a tool/trick/hack to accomplish the following: One could do "X" (this is for what I am asking for and cannot remember its name...) -- I think it was a wrapper script or so -- to call another console application like picocom to act as it would be readline-enable (command history and such) despite the fact it does not.
