Hello, Gentoo. In the last day or two, it has been taking FOREVER to switch from X-Windows to a virtual terminal with, e.g. Ctrl-Alt-F2. Here, forever means around 3 seconds. It used to be instantaneous.
Switching between virtual terminals remains instantaneous. So does switching to X-Windows with Alt-F7. Looking at logs, I see that xorg-drivers-1.20 got emerged on Tuesday (two days ago). This is an obvious suspect for the problem. Has anybody else seen this, or has anybody a more precise idea of what's gone wrong and how to fix it? Thanks! -- Alan Mackenzie (Nuremberg, Germany).
