That is not the gentoo ebuild. The gentoo one builds just fine due to this line in src_prepare() of the ebuild: sed -i -e 's/use inc::Module::Install;/use lib q[.]; use inc::Module::Install;/' Makefile.PL So, just mask the argent-main version or remove that overlay or ...
