Hi, the manual is "iconized" (following "a picture is worth a thousands words" - read as "we have no translator at our company"). A sequence of steps is not determinable. Do you diconnect your docking station from the usb port each time? Why is the HD removable also then? I would expect that the docking station is triggering an enumeration of its device each time the docking station is powered up with a HD inserted...and not only if the USB plug is attached to the computer....
