Hello, Gentoo. I've recently found a pair of headphones with a microphone. I've no idea where it came from, but I'd like to try it out. I've got no manual for it. I'm not even sure it's functional.
It has a red (stereo) 3.5mm jack plug and a white (stereo) 3.5mm jack plug. I'm assuming that one of these is for the headphones and the other for the microphone, and that they plug into the pale green and pink jack sockets on my PC. But which is which? I don't want to destoy anything by connecting them the wrong way around. Help would be appreciated. Thanks! -- Alan Mackenzie (Nuremberg, Germany).
