Thanks for the prompt advice guys. I'll be taking it slowly - I aim to get the main installation and changeover done over Christmas when I have a little more time, and the preparation done prior to that so that I have the partitions ready to go. I'll let you know how it all went (probably be asking more questions between now and then anyway!)
