I ran into this on another overlay a few weeks ago. I went to the overlay and copied the URL for the overlay directly and put it in the correct repos.conf file. It worked after that. It's a different overlay but that may work for you as well. I think the overlay I had trouble with was voyager or something like that. I just took a wild guess to try that.
