That doesn't mean much...the main job of "eselect opengl" is to create
symlinks for the opengl libraries in /usr/lib.  Since you don't have
those, "eselect opengl xorg-x11" should help.  The output that shows
the current configuration comes from the environment variable.

However, I see on the devel list that some updates to xorg 7.0 over
the weekend can break opengl until you do a revdep-rebuild.  Of
course, this only applies if you unmasked xorg 7.0.
