I've been using KDE for years but switched to Gnome recently. Though I'm still using Kate. It's a matter of taste. Try them both. You'll probably find KDE more flexible and Gnome more responsive and better integrated with other open source projects out there. -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
